We are seeking a Regional Compliance Officer EMEA (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date for our site in Frankfurt (Germany).
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the compliance program in EMEA region and for the Adsorbents and Additives Business Unit together with Legal and Country Compliance Officers (CCO).
- Coordinate and align compliance activities and initiatives in EMEA, including project roll-outs.
- Provide training and advisory guidance to the business on compliance topics (including anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions and trade controls, antitrust, information security and data privacy).
- Be global subject matter expert on one or more key compliance topics.
- Perform compliance risk assessment and assess the adequacy of processes and controls.
- Implement targeted and fit-for-purpose monitoring activities and check effectiveness.
- Advise on improvements to processes and controls to mitigate compliance risks.
- Review compliance due diligence of third parties.
- Manage investigations, including the Integrity Line for the Region together with CCO's /Legal.
- Coordinate the EMEA regional ethics and risk management on regular basis.
Requirements
- Master Degree in law or equivalent.
- Relevant compliance certifications are a plus.
- +5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong communication and Project management skills.
- Business fluent in German and English (written and verbal), every other language is advantageous.
- Ability to work independent and be a self-driven person.
- Strong team player.
