Compliance Officer – Gladstone – Maternity Leave Contract
Global Logistics provides sophisticated supply chain solutions, from end-to-end or part solutions, warehousing and distribution to dedicated transport solutions, across the globe and to some of the most remote corners of the world.
We provide specialised integrated logistics services to customers in a range of industries including mining, chemical, gases, steel and plastics, petroleum, energy and Australian oil and gas industries and agriculture. Our customers operate in some of the most remote places on earth, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and require a logistics partner who can meet their needs. We offer integrated value-based logistics solutions that bring greater operating efficiency and savings to our customers’ supply chains.
The Role -
We have an exciting 12 Month Maternity Leave role with the potential view to a full-time position for a Compliance Officer. You will oversee the systems and compliance of multiple transport warehouses. This role will suit an individual passionate about continuous improvement, with an auditing mindset or experience in an Industrials environment where compliance has been a core part of the remit. Gain satisfaction from improving efficiency, maintaining systems to mitigate risk of non-compliance.
As the Compliance Officer, you will:
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance management systems.
Oversee compliance programs and provide guidance and support to site managers and team members.
Conduct compliance audits, provide assistance with incident investigations and near misses, and manage any deficiencies.
Drive change management initiatives to embed compliance in our operations and processes.
Provide regular reports to senior management on compliance performance.
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to stay informed of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Understanding of transport regulations, including the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) laws and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requirements
High attention to detail, understanding of compliance and training as it relates to the transport of dangerous goods
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
