PURPOSEOFROLE:
Under the direction of the Compliance Manager, the Export Compliance Coordinator will act as a resource for Ravago Americas companies for all export compliance related questions, and training while ensuring these companies’ transactions are handled in accordance with Ravago’s policies and Export Laws.
KEYAREASOFACCOUNTABILITY:
• Monitor export activity thorough use of ACE reporting and take appropriate corrective action where needed. File and audit EEI records for export compliance
• Responsible for screening in accordance with U.S. Foreign Policy and National Security and escalating
accordingly.
• Ability to work with Different Operational groups throughout the organization.
• Strong follow-up skills, ability to organize applicable job timelines and follow up with internal and external contacts as needed.
• Ensure that records are maintained according to company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Use Customs/Database reports and other system technology to identify possible issues and/or discrepancies with the EEIs.
• Understanding of Export process
• Assist in regular periodic audits to evaluate the effectiveness of export compliance procedures.
• Strong Incoterm knowledge, as well as with commodity classifications in HS Code / Schedule B
• Participate in the implementation of Compliance SOPs and assure these are followed.
• Seek opportunities to drive efficiencies within department and across the Company based on the understanding of the Export process.
• Assist in trainings as needed, on all Compliance aspects (with various departments and Companies)
• Provide export compliance support and day to day guidance to Ravago internal stakeholders.
• All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.
• Capable of managing large data sets, analyzing trends and identifying risk.
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment, with minimal supervision in cross-
department and global environment.
• Strong planning and analytical skill
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and to manage change through influence. Works well under pressure.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to timely resolve complex trade compliance matters
• Maintain an effective, efficient, and positive work environment.
• Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Advance proficiency with current Microsoft Office and analytics programs including Excel,
Access, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Maintain standard operating procedures with applicable U.S. export processes.
