As the Head of Industry 4.0, you will lead the transformation to create digitally empowered industrial operations.
This role is pivotal in advancing technology by integrating data, connectivity, and smart devices. You will focus on building connected factories that are human centric to leverage data effectively, automate repetitive tasks, reduce risks in complex or hazardous activities, and ensure reliability.
Our goal is to use automation to capture critical data and harness processing power for heavy-lifting tasks, allowing our teams to focus on making informed decisions and adding value where they are most impactful.
Located in Rydalmere, on Darug land, your role purpose will be -
- Lead the development and implementation of the digital transformation roadmap, focusing on automation systems and digital solutions to enhance supply chain, manufacturing and repair / maintenance processes
- Oversee the end-to-end integration of automation and digital tools, ensuring a seamless connection between industrial operations and the broader Group's digital transformation initiatives
- Work with internal teams and the Group's digital transformation team to deploy innovative technologies, e.g. robotics and advanced maintenance / manufacturing systems
- Implement and manage data-driven transformation projects, ensuring solutions are aligned with operational goals and driving measurable improvements.
- Propose and manage budgets for digital initiatives, track impact on ICC performance, and ensure ROI through robust business case oversight
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
- Experience in digitalisation and automation within industrial settings, ideally in manufacturing, maintenance, or similar industries
- In-depth knowledge of digital technologies, industrial systems, and production/repair processes in particular MES and CMMS
- Skilled in analytical techniques (e.g., PDCA), industrial IT systems, and decision-support tools (e.g., dashboards), with knowledge of ISA 95 and Agile methodology
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on generating long-term commitment and empowering teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to mobilise resources and build strong professional networks
- Relevant certifications in automation, digital technologies, or industrial management (e.g., APICS, ISA-95)
- Demonstrates transparency, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and is adaptable to change
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or related field
- Must be eligible for Australian Defence Clearance
