Description
We are offering a contract for a Systems Administrator role in Woodbridge, New Jersey. This role primarily involves managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure within a cloud-based environment. The Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in maintaining our Azure Cloud Environment, managing virtualization solutions, and supporting the Windows Server infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage our Azure cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Assist with the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Azure services, including virtual machines (VMs), storage, networking, and security protocols.
- Administer and support the Windows Server environment, ensuring its stability, performance, and security.
- Perform regular updates and patches on Windows Server systems, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage and optimize VMware virtual environments, ensuring efficient resource allocation and high availability.
- Perform VMware upgrades, patches, and maintain virtual machine configurations.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all systems and infrastructure are secure and meet compliance requirements.
- Work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure the stability of cloud services and internal systems.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for escalated IT issues, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Cisco Technologies
- Familiarity with Citrix Technologies
- Experience with Cloud Technologies
- Knowledge of Dell Technologies
- Understanding of Firewall Technologies
- Ability to perform AB Testing
- Experience working with Active Directory
- Proficiency in Backup Technologies
- Skills in Cluster Analysis
- Understanding of Computer Hardware
- Experience with Azure Active Directory
- Knowledge of Microsoft Virtual Server
- Proficiency in VMware and VMware Infrastructure
- Experience with Hyper-V technology
