GTE Financial is looking for an organized, professional, technical individual to join as an Application Systems Administrator. The Application Systems Administrator is responsible for all enterprise applications. They work directly with the business units, vendors, and infrastructure teams to install, update, tune, diagnose, and monitor on-premise and hosted solutions.
What does GTE look for in an Application Systems Administrator?
- Review and analyze existing enterprise applications and related systems for effectiveness and efficiency, including DR, load balancing, and system availability (99.99%). Develop strategies for improving these systems.
- Enforce and monitor security policies and procedures for software applications.
- Perform application tuning, configuration, monitoring, and administration.
- Plan, manage, and perform a software upgrade (server and client-side).
- Planned, managed, and implemented new enterprise software solutions and integrations.
- Plan and coordinate testing of changes, upgrades, patches, new releases, and new services.
- Identify opportunities to utilize existing software applications for new business needs.
- Provide advanced tier 2 technical support for all enterprise systems and software components.
- Provide tier 3 support for enterprise applications.
- Perform daily operational software, application, and system functions, as necessary.
- Maintain system documentation, including various environments (production, test, pre-prod, etc.) and maintenance schedules.
- Manage and enforce maintenance schedules.
- Manage vendor relationships including account managers, operations managers, and technical support.
- Critical response to financial systems availability, making business decisions on member/employee experience and software/hardware solutions to improve the infrastructure.
- Involved in planning of system procedures and budgeting.
- Assigned specialized projects as needed.
- Motivated to learn new business and technical concepts.
- Ability to manage SQL databases as a backup to the Senior Database Administrator.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the Technology Solutions Shared Values.
- Extensive knowledge of Web servers (Windows 2003 and above), IIS, DB servers, DB schema and queries, Load Balancing, Firewalls, and application monitoring solutions.
- Experience with DNA (Open Solutions/FISERV) or other CORE Financial System, Channel Management Center CMC (Open Solutions/FISERV), or other CORE Financial System integration applications is strongly desired.
- Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to the U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree obtained through a formal 4-year program at an accredited educational facility; may be waived with equivalent experience.
- 5 to 7 years of IT experience required.
- 4 to 6 years of system and application administration experience required.
Position Details:
- Location: Downtown Tampa – GTE Headquarters
- Department Hours: Monday– Friday (8:00 am to 6:00 pm) // Saturday (9:00 am to 1:00 pm)
- Full-time hours are required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.
- Work arrangements (in-office, hybrid, or remote) may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice if possible.
