Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced network infrastructure for our organization. This role involves working on LAN/WAN, routers, switches, VPNs, and other critical network components to ensure optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will collaborate across teams to design end-to-end network solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and modernize technologies to meet evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and VPNs.
- Develop and document comprehensive end-to-end network infrastructure solutions, both physical and logical.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement changes that address business needs and resolve technical challenges.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues through technical troubleshooting and analysis.
- Conduct assessments, testing, and validation of network environments to ensure functionality and performance meet organizational requirements.
- Analyze data, applications, and systems to identify upstream/downstream impacts and provide recommendations to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes to promote operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate with vendors and external organizations for effective problem resolution.
- Ensure all network configurations and implementations comply with security and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Formal training, certifications, or relevant professional experience in network infrastructure and IT systems.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and proficiency in configuring protocols such as:
- BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GRE tunnels, IPSec, SSL, VPN, PBR, HSRP, DHCP, QoS, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), VLAN, trunking, and MPLS.
- Strong understanding of network technologies, protocols, and standards.
- Experience with network technologies, including firewalls, proxies, and load balancers.
- Familiarity with network services and tools such as Radius, DNS, NTP, SYSLOG, and SSH.
- Expertise in TCP/IP subnetting and network troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Visio for updating network topology diagrams.
- Experience managing telco/carrier technologies and collaborating with vendors for solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and their integration with network systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages, such as Python.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with banking or finance industry environments.
