The Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer (CCO) develops, implements, and enforces policies, programs, and practices to ensure MPG is in compliance with federal, state and/or local regulations as they relate to Compliance and Privacy matters. This leader provides effective leadership, advice, and counsel to the MPG Board of Directors, general counsel, and senior leadership team on matters of corporate compliance and ethical business practices. This leader sets the strategy for managing and reporting all compliance and privacy issues throughout the company, to ensure MPG's culture of compliance is maintained. In this role, the CCO is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: Provides strategic direction and executive leadership for MPG's ethics and compliance program, including through the development, design and implementation of the company's annual compliance plan. Creates and maintains policies and procedures that ensure the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. These policies and procedures must be regularly updated to reflect changes in laws and regulations. Develops policies, procedures and program that have significant impact upon the organization and encourages all workers, providers, and leaders to report deviations from the compliance program or code of conduct and other improprieties, without fear of retaliation. Builds, manages and mentors a team through onboarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains exceptional employee morale and motivation, and fosters a diverse, equitable and inclusive department and workplace. Frequently prepares and presents to the MPG Board of Directors and senior leadership team in a clear and concise way and interacts with senior leadership regularly to ensure an ongoing understanding of key objectives. Directs risk assessments, monitoring and audits within the organization to measure compliance and drive continuous improvement (including with respect to hierarchical condition category coding). Measures and continually improves MPG's compliance program, policies, code of conduct, processes and results. Sets and manages to the applicable financial, operational, and quality objectives as related to the compliance program. Produces, coordinates and oversees compliance education and training with a goal of consistent and constant performance improvement. Partners with and influences other leaders to identify, manage, and mitigate compliance risks in operational areas, and provides creative and well-informed solutions. Collaborates with other corporate/operational functions, such as internal audit, legal, finance/accounting, revenue cycle, human resources and business units to direct compliance activities to appropriate channels. Performs as an idea generator, working with others as a thought leader and subject-matter expert to help brainstorm new processes and solutions to maintain compliance. Handles special projects as assigned by the Board of Directors, CEO, or general counsel. Performs all tasks in observances of MPG's brand and strategy and adheres to MPG's core values and service goals. Manages enterprise risk management as it relates to regulatory compliance, including identifying, assessing, and managing risks across the organization to support the achievement of goals and objectives while minimizing potential negative impacts. Manages the organization's privacy activities to ensure that they are effective and that they comply with applicable laws and regulations. This includes conducting audits and reviews of the organization's systems and processes, investigating and responding to privacy incidents, data breaches or other potential violations of applicable laws and regulations. Investigates and responds to compliance and privacy incidents, such as data breaches or violations of laws and regulations. This includes managing a team of investigators and coordinating with other departments and external stakeholders, such as regulators and law enforcement. Manages and promotes the compliance hotline and reporting systems. Oversees and manages MPG's conflict of interest programs. Develops and maintains relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulators and industry associations. This includes staying up to date on new laws and regulations and industry best practices. Partners and collaborates with legal and compliance/risk teams across the PE sponsor portfolio, sharing and learning best practices and navigating complex relationships and regulations. This role is perfect for you if you have Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS). JD from an accredited law school (preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate compliance. Experience in a compliance leadership role within a healthcare or life sciences entity (value based care experience preferred). Hold a CHC certification, with CHPC or CCEP preferred.
