Job Title: DevOps and Database Associate
Classification: Salary Exempt
Reports to: Senior Director, IT
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The DevOps and Database Associate should have expertise in AWS operations, systems monitoring, database development, and web development. This role will be responsible for helping support all cloud-based infrastructure, managing SQL reports and infrastructure, deployments, associated build pipeline, and basic software development. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, that can write software but can also focus on DevOps. This includes troubleshooting production tickets, automating deployment steps, and creating “Infrastructure as Code”.

- Assist in and implement robust, scalable and supportable apps

Required Education and Experience
- BA/BS Degree in Business, CIS, Computer Science, or related field
- Comfortable supporting systems in a production environment
- Ability to edit and troubleshoot HTML and web requests/responses
- AWS experience with EC2, EFS, SQS, ECS, S3, RDS, and/or Elastic Beanstalk
- Experience interacting with relational databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
- Ability to extract data from databases by writing SQL scripts
- Exposure to reporting and visualization platforms: Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Crystal Reports, etc.
- Strong Git/GitHub knowledge
- Working knowledge of Linux and comfortable w/terminal interface
- Minimum of two years DevOps and/or web development experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience with AWS CDK via TypeScript/JavaScript
- Knowledge of Docker and related AWS services (ECS/Fargate)
- Knowledge of Grafana and/or Prometheus for systems monitoring and reporting
- Previous experience with .NET Core and C#
- Experience with testing frameworks, xUnit.net
- More than a year of experience building REST APIs
- Integration experience consuming third-party services and APIs
- Solid understanding of functional programming and object-oriented concepts
As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: $61,021- $97,475.
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Must meet requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervisory duties, though management of projects includes directing project related activities of the project team members.
Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, and manual dexterity. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position requires standard work hours and some weekend work.
Travel
Travel is rarely expected for this position.
