About You

As a Systems Administrator II you have primary responsibility for technical duties to ensure continuity of technology services by providing system administration, technical monitoring, planning, applications development support, systems utilities, and systems security administration. In addition, project coordination is also necessary to implement and tune software and hardware products and resolve technical problems on multiple platforms.

A Typical Day

Responsible for user account creation and maintenance with a focus on security and accuracy.
Creates and maintains thorough descriptive system documentation, which may include project plans, network diagrams, models, program specifications, and internal program documentation.
Works independently and with the team to install, maintain and perform upgrades to network and operating systems, communications software, internet, and other infrastructure related systems and platforms. Research, plans, and applies required system and software patches and service packs as necessary.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Works with the Information Security Manager in coordinating security needs. This includes responding to security alerts from the managed security operation center.
Monitors and supports third-party local and SAAS security-related applications and services such as O365 Security and Compliance, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security, Defender ATP, and others.
Meets independently and as required with software and system vendors to discuss problems and to keep current with the latest developments in the field.
Serves as an escalation resource to Information Center technicians as needed.
Designs, coordinates, and performs system backups and data recovery on assigned platforms.
Work as needed with the IT teams in support of TASB applications and integrations.
Assists users with problems related to connectivity.

Skills For Success

Education and Experience:

College degree in the field of computer science or management information systems or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Technical knowledge and experience specializing in Microsoft-centric environments to include Hyper-V, Office 365, and Azure.
Technical knowledge of in-house networks, servers, and platform operation systems.
Basic knowledge running and maintaining scripting (PowerShell).
Working technical knowledge of systems software, protocols, and standards including Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
Knowledge of security controls, practices, and policies.
