The Systems Administrator II will be responsible for maintaining, administering, and enhancing our cloud infrastructure with a focus on security and hosting. This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working independently and collaborating with senior staff members to resolve complex security and hosting-related issues, as well as architect and set up secure client hosting environments. The Systems Administrator II should also be comfortable speaking directly with clients and be able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

Requirements

Manage day-to-day operations of the internal and client cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical resources.
Monitor system/network performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair to ensure optimal operation.
Maintain a solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of client hosting environments including security measures for various platforms.
Work directly with the development team to provide infrastructure support as needed.
Maintain and enhance SilverTech’s Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment processes and pipelines.
Ensure compliance with the latest industry standards and security best practices.
Respond to internal and client requests in a timely and friendly manner.
Assist in performing server software and hardware maintenance and upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security protocols.
Participate in on-call rotation for resolution of issues in a 24x7 cloud environment.
Coordinate with other teams in improving our hosting offering, and security posture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
3-5+ years of experience in the Information Technology field.
Understanding of cloud native systems.
Understanding of .NET applications and hosting.
Understanding of azure hosting fundamentals- App Services, Azure SQL, Key Vaults, Application Insights.
Familiarity with operating system administration, virtualization technologies, and network security.
Experience in Cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
DevOps experience a plus.
Relevant certifications in cloud technologies are a plus.
CompTia+ security a plus.
