Q2 isseeking a Cloud OperationsEngineertojoin a teamthatis at theforefrontoftransitioning Q2's 22 million Online Bankinguserstothecloudvia AWS. Initially, this role willfocuson Data Center technologies, such as networking, routing switches, and firewalls. As Q2 continues itsmigrationtothecloud, the role willevolvetoinclude more cloud-relatedwork, primarily in AWS and also Azure. We are lookingforanengineerwithexperience in both Data Center technologies and cloudenvironments, and a desiretogrowtheircloudexpertise.

As a Cloud OperationsEngineer, youwillworkonproductionsystemsthatdeliver Q2’s Online and Mobile bankingsolutionstofinancialinstitutions. Whensystemsexperienceissues, you’llcollaboratewithteammemberstoquicklyrestoreservices, investigateroot causes, and implementsolutionstoprevent future occurrences.

A Typical Day:

Real-time supportforcriticalservicedisruptions, maintaining and improvingproductioncloudenvironmentsas wetransitionfrom Data Center tocloud.

Collaboratingacrossbusiness and technologyteams, providinganalysis, thoughtleadership, and proactive solutions.

WorkingcloselywiththeIncident Response Teamtoperformpost-mortemanalysis, identifyingwhyservicesdegradedorfailed.

Proactivelyanalyzingenvironmentstoidentifyopportunitiesfor performance improvements and operationalefficiency.

Using a widerangeoftoolstoidentify and resolve software bugs ormisconfigurations.

Workingacrossvariousdepartmentstoeducateothers and improveprocesses, leveragingbothtechnical and communicationskills.

Recommendingprocessimprovements and creatingdetailedprocessdocumentation.

Demonstratingexcellent verbal and writtencommunicationskills, especially in customer-facingscenarios.

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

Typicallyrequires a Bachelor’sdegree in ComputerScience and a minimumof 5 yearsofrelatedexperience; oranadvanceddegreewith 3+ yearsofexperience; orequivalentworkexperience.

Experience in Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches.

Familiaritywith Jira and Agile methodologies, withstrongorganizationalskillstomanagetasksefficiently.

Knowledgeof Linux and Windows SystemsAdministration.

KnowledgeofVMWare and cloudenvironmentssuch as AWS and Azure.

Knowledgeofnetworkingconcepts and virtualizedenvironments.

Experiencewith Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASR Routers, and Cisco ACI forswitching.
