Description

We seek an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Risk Control Consultant and Business Development Professional who can identify and grow the business and provide risk control services. Under limited supervision, the Professional will be responsible for completing various assigned risk control tasks and will also be responsible for selling risk control services by explicitly highlighting the company’s proprietary risk assessment software, Poms Risk Organizer (PRO).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify prospective clients
Generate leads and follow up with prospects using Poms’ tools, technologies, and lists
Arrange and coordinate meetings with clients to provide Poms Risk Organizer (PRO) presentations to demonstrate its benefits
Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and clients
Ability to understand what is driving the frequency and severity of workers’ compensation, general liability and/or automobile claims
Be knowledgeable about Poms Risk Organizer (PRO) and Poms Risk Control Consulting
Ability to answer questions about Poms Risk Organizer (PRO)
Contribute to further developing Poms Risk Organizer (PRO) to expand our business
Emphasize the features of Poms Risk Organizer (PRO), including risk control and safety assessments, ergonomics evaluations, and Certified Playground Safety Inspections, to highlight how they expedite processes and solve clients’ problems
Develop and/or conduct occupational health and safety and environmental training for a variety of different industries.
Contribute to the development of Poms’ service products to further develop our business
Provide consultation services to include but not limited to the following:

Travel to client facilities to provide on-site consultation
Problem-solve client compliance challenges, including but not limited to: determination of the problem; solution development; solution implementation and other services requiring professional judgement.
Assist the client to better understand what is driving the frequency and severity of workers’ compensation, general liability and/or automobile claims.
Assist clients in the development and implementation of various regulatory safety and environmental safety programs
Perform risk control and safety assessments.

Maintain professional integrity by pursing on-going professional development and maintaining professional accreditation and certification
Perform other duties, projects and research as assigned

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to analyze, develop and manage risk control programs
Working knowledge of MS office products, Word and Excel software
Working knowledge of CRM Systems, Spiro a plus
Ability to multi-task efficiently and re-prioritize work assignments based upon dynamic business needs
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as a team
Possesses strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to travel overnight
Ability to work without direct supervision

EDUCATION & DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science or Arts degree REQUIRED; an advanced degree in a related field is preferred
5 years of selling risk control or consultative services preferred
Minimum of 10 years of safety, health, environmental and risk control experience
Regular exercise of discretion and independent judgment required
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) preferred
Qualified to become a member of a professional organization, such as, American Society of Safety Professionals
Strong technical knowledge and ability to quickly learn and understand Poms Risk Organizer (PRO) software

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary starts at $120K with unlimited incentive compensation.

This position will work from home but in the first 3-6 months, the employee will be expected to come into the office at least once a week for 1 to 2 days depending on business needs.
