MoodysNWCis seeking a Senior Product Owner with expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies to lead our product development efforts. You will work closely with engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders to define and execute a roadmap for our Kubernetes-based platform and services. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and a strong ability to translate business needs into scalable and innovative product solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Own and drive the Kubernetes platform product strategy, roadmap, and backlog.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes solutions.
Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans aligned with business goals.
Partner with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to ensure best practices in container orchestration and cloud-native application development.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritize feature development.
Stay up to date with Kubernetes ecosystem trends and industry best practices.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success.
Act as the bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
Drive continuous improvement in product development methodologies, including Agile and SAFe frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in cloud-native environments.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Helm.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and managing product backlogs.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
Experience with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd), observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and logging solutions.
Knowledge of microservices architecture, API management, and DevSecOps principles.
Previous experience leading platform engineering or SRE teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary for this position ranges from $120,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to 150,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other forms of compensation are offered in the form of medical, vision, and dental benefits.
