Position Summary
Member of the Moda IT, Application Systems Group (ASG), Batch and Automation team. Responsible for developing and maintaining automated processing and batch utilities using a variety of tools and technologies. Acts as a resource for internal and external file transfers, as well as enterprise batch processes. Strong customer facing skills and the ability to interact with internal and external customers is a must. Takes direction from peers on the Moda Application Systems Group (ASG) team, as well as from their direct supervisor. This is a FT WFH role.

Pay Range
$98,711.68 - $128,348.98 annually (depending on experience)
**Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Required Skills, Experience & Education:

Performs as a functional member of the Application Systems Group, supporting all areas of the enterprise, including IT, business, and external customers.
Designs, develops, implements, and maintains automated file transfer and batch processes.
Supports the IT Application Developers in implementation of file and data transfer solutions.
Supports the IT Business Analysts in researching and processing information transfers between Moda and our business partners.
Works directly with customers and cross-functional teams within the organization to implement relevant, well-engineered solutions.
Works independently and under the general direction of the Lead Automation Engineer.
Provides technical support for Tidal batch operations.
Assists the Automation Engineering team in managing day to day tasks and provides technical mentorship to less experienced Automation Engineers.
Other duties as assigned.

Primary Functions:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a computer science or similar technical field.
7 – 10 years experience in a related technology role supporting IT process automation & secure file transfer design and development.
Ability to independently solve problems quickly, propose solutions, and automate processes.
Advanced knowledge of data and information transfer technologies, such as EDI, FTP/SFTP, and batch processes, and associated tools.
Advanced knowledge of file transfer security protocols such as SSH, PGP encryption, and SSL/TLS.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making, organizational, and detail orientation skills.
Experienced working with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Advanced understanding of networking and distributed computing environments.
Demonstrable experience with enterprise batch scheduling tools (Tidal Workload Automation preferred but not required).
Ability to work well under pressure in an interrupt driven work environment.
Must be a self-starter who solves problems both independently and cooperatively, and actively shares knowledge with the team.
Ability to come into work on time, daily.
Ability to work a 24x7 on call rotation schedule.
Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry and experience with HIPAA compliance, a plus.
