The Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Mercy University (NY) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Computer Science and Cybersecurity to begin September 2024.

For tenure-track positions, applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related discipline by the appointment date; for the multi-year contract position, candidates with advanced degrees in these fields will be considered.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate Computer Science and Cybersecurity classes in programming, database, computer systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning, or data security.

Faculty will also be expected to teach at multiple campuses of Mercy University, based upon the needs of the department.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related discipline by the appointment date.

Professional and/or teaching experience in computer networking, operating systems, wireless networks, and cybersecurity. Experience in leading students in national or regional cybersecurity defense/offense competitions is a plus.

Compensation offered will be commensurate with the educational background and work experience of the individual.

Mercy University promotes a community campus environment. As a result, employment is limited to the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Applicants outside of those states or the USA will be required to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible moves.
