Cyber Risk Analyst The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. To this end, in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), FPHNYC incubates innovative public health initiatives implemented by DOHMH to advance community health throughout the city. It facilitates partnerships, often new and unconventional, between government and the private sector to develop, test, and launch new initiatives. These collaborations speed the execution of demonstration projects, effect expansion of successful pilot programs, and support rapid implementation to meet the public health needs of individuals, families, and communities across New York City. PROGRAM OVERVIEW: The Division of Information Technology aims to align technology solutions with the DOHMH mission by prioritizing resource use and deploying innovations that facilitate the agency’s day-to-day activities and enhance staff productivity and efficiency. Our goal is to provide users with a reliable, stable, and safe computing environment, through the collaboration of the Bureau of Technology Strategy & Project Management provides business analysis and IT project management services to define and deliver IT solutions that meet all program needs. POSITION OVERVIEW: DIT is seeking a skilled Cyber Risk Analyst to join our security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities and be able to conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies. This role will involve working closely with various teams within the agency to protect our digital assets and ensure compliance with industry standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization's digital assets Monitor and analyze security incidents and trends Provide recommendations for improving the organization's cybersecurity posture Assist with compliance efforts related to cybersecurity regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) Develop and maintain security policies and procedures Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are followed Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field CISSP, CISM, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team SALARY: Salary range is $90,000 to $125,000 WORK SCHEDULE: 9 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday In-Office BENEFITS AT A GLANCE: FPHNYC offers a comprehensive benefit package · Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy · Medical, dental, and life insurance with low or no employee contribution · A retirement savings plan with generous employer contribution · Flexible spending medical and commuter benefits plan · Generous and flexible work from home policy with up to three days working at home · Fun hybrid office environment and passionate team · Fun all staff events all year round · Meaningful work at an organization striving to advance health equity and social justice RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: You must live in New York City Tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) in order to be considered for a position at FPHNYC.
